This new strain of coronavirus is so new to science, not much is known about it. Below is background information from US Centers for Disease Control (CDC):
Coronaviruses are enveloped positive-stranded RNA viruses that bind to cells of the mucosa (eyes, nose, mouth, lung and GIT), gain entry into our cells, then they instruct the cells to produce and release many more coronaviruses. These newly released virions then go on to infect more cells in the infected subject, who then spreads coronaviruses around the environment, infecting other subjects.
There are no readily available cures for coronaviruses infections. The only cure known to science is the body’s own immune system.
